Unplanned/Crisis Pregnancy Counselling

This services is available to anyone of any age experiencing an unplanned pregnancy or a pregnancy where a crisis has developed. Our counselling support extends to partners, family and friends.

WHAT IS A “CRISIS PREGNANCY”? A crisis pregnancy is defined as “a pregnancy which is neither planned nor desired by the woman concerned, and which represents a personal crisis for her. It is important to remember that a crisis pregnancy includes the experience of those women for whom a planned or desired pregnancy develops into a crisis over time due to a change in circumstances or having had a diagnosis i.e. fatal/fetal anomaly and support is needed.”

West Cork Crisis Pregnancy Counselling Service provides a confidential, non-judgmental and non-directive counselling service, provided by experienced accredited counsellors.

Appointments can be availed of by face to face, online video link or phone and outreach venues may be available by specific request. This allows people greater access to our service and facilitates greater inclusiveness.
